Ladies and Gentlemen, This is it! This is episode dollar $100. If you have listened to this podcast series so far and put the tips into practice you have earned at least $95 dollars and all with little or no money spent on your part.
We’ve talked about offers and promotions online, surveys online, freelance work online, blogging for dollars and now… Podcasting for dollars!
A quick google search will give you a description, history, and future of podcasting.
Below I offer two opinions about how to get a strong following in podcasting.
My theory of making shows of mass interest:
Go for a trendy topic and hope for huge audience. i.e. Lost, Mac tips and trick, Home businesses. Try to pick the next big thing with mass interest and produce quality – the huge audiences have an interesting topic and a quality product.
Go for non-fiction unique shows. Non-fictions shows seem to last longer and are usually easier to prepare. Check out my Crossword Puzzle Enthusiast Podcast as an example: http://www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/talkCast.jsp?masterId=13793
In this podcast we also talked about www.talkshoe.com and how you can earn money doing podcasting. Tommy from talkshoe tech. support joined the podcast and answered these questions:
1) How many shows are on talkshoe right now?
2) Give me a few titles that offer the types of the shows on talkshoe?
3) What about some unique talkcasts, one’s you are surprised are making it?
4) So, I know you can make money with talkshoe, but can you summarize the cash program?
5) What’s the biggest check talkshoe has cut so far?
6) What kind of feedback have you received from users and what is in the future for talkshoe?
Tommy brought two copies of Jason Van Orden’s book – Promoting Your Podcast – to give away tonight! You can see more info about the book at http://www.promotingyourpodcast.com/ . Congratulations to Shadow who won a copy of the book while on the show. Email me at troystory3-at-aol.com before 9:00 p.m. EST on Sunday, February 11th for your chance to win the second copy. We have only one email so far, you do the math. If you send an email you will have a great chance to win this book!
